There are no fees associated with uploading a film on Film Catapult during its box office campaign (maximum of 90 days) . However, at present, free storage is limited to the first 90 days of the film's box office showing. We recommend that you plan your box office and fundraising campaigns for a maximum of 90 days.

However, because you control your growth and your growth is dependent on word of mouth via venues like social media, your film's popularity might snowball or ti might grow more slowly, therefore Film Catapult has an option to store your film for a $5 storage fee per year. This yearly amount helps us defray the storage costs of archiving your film.

Film Catapult does not intend to make money on donations, but only asks that the costs of passing the donation on to the filmmaker be covered.  Film Catapult can not insure that a donation will go to the exact project described by the filmmaker as their future project.  However we ask our filmmakers to make their best effort to use the funds for the film that they have described in the "future project" field. We suggest that filmmakers notify theirr donors, if the project changes.

The financial transaction costs imposed by PayPal or other third parties, as well as a $0.50 Film Catapult administrative cost (to pay the people who are maintaining the accounts) per donation transaction will be passed onto the filmmaker.

If the filmmaker chooses to receive donations via snail mail, they will assume the cost of shipping and handling and thus the administrative cost of a check sent via snail mail will be greater than the cost associated with an electronic transaction.

All accounts will be paid on a bi-monthly basis unless otherwise accorded between the filmmaker and Film Catapult. For more information, please review our “Payment Rules” on the  "Payment to You" page of the Filmmaker's Dashboard.

We accept films in MP4 formats. If your aspect ratio is not 2.35 scope, black bars may appear to fill in the player screen. We accept 24, 25 or 30 frames per second and a max file size of 5GB. H264 is the accepted Codec. We recommend audio sampling rates of 44.1KHz
